By the end of July 2026, France's public charging network passed 200,000 charge points, putting it halfway to its 2030 target.
France's charging network just passed a new symbolic milestone: as of July 31, 2026, the country counted 200,045 public charging points, spread across nearly 55,600 stations.
A pace of deployment that keeps speeding up
This 200,000 threshold was reached a little over three years after France crossed 100,000 charging points in May 2023. In other words, it took less time to add the second 100,000 than it did to reach the first, a sign that the pace of rollout is accelerating rather than slowing down.
